NATIF CINNAMON MYRTLE

Cinnamon Myrtle leaf is found in Sub-Tropical rainforest areas of NSW and Queensland.

The Essential oil (elemicin) is what gives it is spicy cinnamon flavour and aroma.

The group of plants include Lemon Myrtle, Aniseed Myrtle and Cinnamon Myrtle, all used for their essential oil fragrances in cosmetics, food products and essential oils.

Cinnamon Myrtle can be used as a calming herbal tea for mild gastrointestinal symptoms or added to culinary food creations like Moroccan dishes, curries, deserts or wherever you use common cinnamon.

Remember to be creative and explore these amazing Australian Native Foods and open up your senses to their very different aromas and flavours.

You don't need to add too much.  A little bit goes a long way.  Just add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon to cooking.
